Hunter Stone's Web.Config Editor is a tool to make management of ASP.Net's web configuration (web.config) files quicker and easier. For instance, editing the "appsetting" element, which contains connection strings, server names, file paths, etc., can be altred to suit the needs of the .NET developer without syntax errors and common mistakes that could break the entire project.

Web.Config Editor supports two modes: Simple Mode, used for editing a single web.config file, and Composite Mode, used for editing all web.config files that apply to an ASP.NET application.

The XML code view is now color coded to improve readability.
Support for 7 new configuration sections have been added to the basic node tree.
A find utility has been added for searching the XML code view.
All entries in the GUI are automatically validated to ensure they match the XML Schema of a web.config file.
sessionState SQL connections can be tested within the Web.Config Editor.
Backups of web.config files can be configured to the users' preference.
